Hello, my name is Karen and I run weekly Pilates classes in the beautiful village of Balcombe, Sussex.
I love to help people feel better in their bodies, move well, stand tall & reduce their aches & pains. After 10 years of teaching it is still my absolute pleasure to be sharing the many benefits of Pilates with my clients. No matter your age, experience or fitness levels Pilates can teach you new intelligent movement skills, building a stronger & more resilient body, reducing your injury risk, improving mobility, balance & coordination in an holistic way.

Having qualified with the highly respected Body Control Pilates®, I am privileged to be teaching a form of exercise with a proven track record and one that is so often recommended by physiotherapists, osteopaths, chiropractors and podiatrists.
I am also a licensed Buff Bones® instructor excited to bring this amazing medically-endorsed bone health programme to Balcombe. Buff Bones® combines Pilates, strength-training & functional balance exercises & is great for those with Osteoporosis or anyone wanting to protect their bones for now or for the future.

"I joined Karen’s class after my previous Physio-led Pilates class closed so I was very wary of trying a new, non-physio class. I needn’t have worried. Karen is very knowledgeable about the human body and how it works, so is able to tailor the exercises to suit the individual. This is a benefit of small classes. You know Karen is there to make sure you are in the correct position for the exercises. The Thursday morning class also has the benefit of the Buff Bones® system so for those of us who are a bit arthritic or have osteoporosis even better. On top of all this Karen is a friendly and approachable instructor who listens to her clients.
